Oakland Early College

www.oaklandearlycollege.org

Oakland Early College (OEC) is a “hybrid” school that blends high school with college. Students at OEC attend school on Oakland Community College’s Orchard Ridge campus, and engage in an exciting college-preparatory curriculum taught by teachers from the award-winning West Bloomfield School District. Dual enrollment is a central component of every student’s educational experience, with students participating in an integrated sequence of high school and college courses. OEC students graduate with their high school diplomas and 30 or more college credits towards their undergraduate degree. Many will earn an Associate Degree from Oakland Community College. OEC is a public early college high school. There is no cost to students or their families for attending Oakland Early College. Tuition, most fees, and most textbook costs are paid for by the school.

  •

*100% of OEC students are dual enrolled, with access to all five Oakland Community College campuses.

*The average high school class size at OEC is 24 students.

*95% of OEC graduates go on to a four year college with many of their General Education credits completed.

*OEC students have full access to Oakland Community College’s wide range of student support mechanisms and activities.

*OEC graduates save an average of $43,000 in tuition, books, and fees.

*Oakland County residents in 10th - 12th grades may apply.
